What can I say about Carli Bybel? She is very inspirational, gorgeous and entertaining girl to me.
The first palette Carli released was in 2015 and I fell in love. In 2017 she released her second, the Limited-Edition Carli Bybel Deluxe Palette with BH Cosmetics.
I had to get my hands on it!
Living in Australia, it took around two weeks for the palette to arrive. I was checking my phone every hour to see if the parcel had come even and inch closer.
Excited was an understatement.
The design is stunning. The front of the palette has a quilted look with pearls and rose gold text. Carli has also kept her signature penguin on the side of the palette.
I opened the palette and it’s gorgeous. The entire interior design is white marble with a generous sized mirror, and her trademark quote under the mirror – “Aspire to Inspire”.
This palette has a real Carli Bybel personalised feel to it. I love every detail of the palettes design.
Inside the palette is 15 eyeshadow and 6 highlighter shades, a total of 21 all together. The eyeshadow range has 8 matte shades and 7 shimmer shades.
Obviously in the highlighter range all 6 shades are shimmer. It seems the shade range has been thought through carefully, because no matter what time of year it is, there is a shade to match.
The formula of the eyeshadow is smooth and has a creamy texture, this helped them blend out exceptionally easy.
The shadows are buildable, very pigmented and have only a small amount of fall out. There is some controversy with the pigmentation of the shadows but I think that all comes down to the brush used, and the application process.
Example: with the shimmer shades, I prefer to use my finger to achieve the most pigmentation. I also spray my brush with setting spray to help gain more pigmentation.
The colour range of highlighters is vast. There are 6 different shades varying from a pearl white to a deep bronze, they have made a shade for all skin tones.
The formula of the highlighter is smooth and pigmented. They apply wonderfully and blend into the skin with ease, but do not looking or feeling too cakey. These shades can also double as an intense shimmer eyeshadow.
If you watch Carli Bybel’s videos then you would know how much she loves animals and that she is vegan. So of course, her palette is cruelty-free and vegan.
The palette is a collaboration with BH Cosmetics, who is known for being against testing on animals and is certified cruelty-free by Leaping Bunny.
Leaping Bunny is an internationally recognised cruelty-free certification program. I have included a link below to crueltyfreekitty for more information about the BH Cosmetic status.
The price is very reasonable for the amount and quality of product you receive. The whole palette is 1.06 oz, compared to Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette which is 0.28 oz and has similar shades.
BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Deluxe Eyeshadow and Highlighter Palette:
The design elements of the palette are flawless. The marble with the rose gold and the pearls work well together.
Like the design, the formula was also hard to fault. The intense pigmentation and smooth texture create a perfect combination. I highly recommend this product if you’re in the market for a new ride or die palette.
