I use the Hask hair masks all the time but only recently discovered they have a monoi coconut-oil shampoo (Living under a rock, I know).
My first thoughts when seeing the bottle were earthy. It has a very natural earth vibe around the design and presentation, and as with all Hask products it has the signature font and logo.
The bottle is easy to handle and grip with one hand, it’s not too big or bulky. I actually would have liked a slightly larger bottle with more product.
The shampoo itself lasted me around 1 – 2 months, with a routine wash of once every third day.
First squeezing a dollop of shampoo into my palm I noticed the strong sweet coconut aroma, a refreshing difference to the standard soapy shampoo smell.
I used a serving the size of a quarter for my medium – long hair, this amount was just enough.
Using the washing your hair the right way method, I massaged the shampoo in for 2 – 3 minutes.
When rinsing the shampoo out, my hair was squeaky clean.
The results after using the Hask Monoi Coconut Oil Nourishing shampoo definitely had met my expectations.
The grease and grime was gone, and it lasted 3 – 4 days before becoming oily/greasy again.
It cleaned my hair and scalp thoroughly and also made my hair incredibly soft, light and have a beautiful shine.
During the time I used the Hask coconut shampoo I did notice my damaged hair being repaired, although it was not comparable to when using the Hask hair mask.
Some people are finding using this shampoo makes their hair really dry and uncomfortable. If this happens to you, I recommend to stop using the shampoo and look for an alternative option.
Hask has confirmed their brand is cruelty-free, they are not owned by a company that isn’t cruelty-free, and their products are 100% Vegan.
Hask actually goes into detail on how terrible they think animal testing is on their website. Go Hask for thinking about earths precious animals!
This shampoo is free of sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten, and artificial colours as well.
The Hask Monoi Coconut oil Nourishing Shampoo is affordable. I would have rathered a larger bottle of product, understandably the cost would have gone up as well.
It definitely comes in as an affordable product in my books, the quality of the product is relative the price paid.
