Finding plant-based, Vegan and Vegetarian protein powders can be a bit of a struggle.

Most of the products out there seem to be either full of artificial sweeteners, colors, and flavors, or just taste like dirt.

Protein powders have become more popular in the last decade, not just as a supplement for bodybuilders, but also a convenient way of adding an extra serving of high-quality protein to your diet.

High quality plant-based protein has a number of great benefits for the body such as:

  • Aids in muscle development and gaining strength.
  • Reduces your appetite for junk foods, or the need to constantly snack.
  • Increases your daily calorie burn which promotes weight loss.
  • Increases your metabolic rate and your potential for fat loss.
  • Speeds up your muscle recovery times from injury or intense workouts.
  • Helps your body create a better sleeping pattern.

If you’re struggling with any of the points above, you may want to think about adding a dose of high-quality plant protein to your diet.

If you’re worried about taking protein powder in case you suddenly turn into the HULK and grow massive muscles, don’t stress.

The bodybuilders who are huge also intake a mountain of food throughout the day!

One last thing I want to share with you is a tip that has saved me a HUGE amount of frustration. When adding your ingredients into the blender/food processor, ALWAYS ADD THE PROTEIN POWDER LAST.

I didn’t know this at first, but if you add the protein first, it turns into a mud like consistency and stick to the blender blades.
