How To Claim Your Website.

Claiming your website on Pinterest is a super simple process, it won’t take you long, and it comes with a bunch of benefits.

First, you’ll want to navigate your way to your Pinterest dashboard, click on the three dots at the top right of the page, and go to “settings”.

Under the Pinterest settings, head to “claim website” on the left-hand side of the page. Enter your website into the required field and click “claim website”.

You will see two options in which you can claim your website on Pinterest, the easiest way is to add the HTML tag to your WordPress website.

Click the HTML tag button, highlight and copy the code, then head over to your WordPress website.

1. Yoast SEO.

If you’re using Yoast SEO, adding the HTML tag is easy as pie!

Navigate your way over WP Admin. Hover over the SEO tab on the left-hand side menu, and then select the social tab.

Make your way over to the Pinterest tab and paste the HTML tag into the “Pinterest Confirmation” field. Click “save changes”. That’s it you’re done!

2. Headers And Footers Plugin.

If you’re not using Yoast SEO on your website, that’s not a problem. You can add the HTML tag using the Insert Headers And Footers Plugin.

To do this you’ll need to go “plugins”, select “add new”, and search for the “Insert Headers And Footers Plugin”.

Install and activate the plugin. Once activated, navigate over to the settings tab on your WP Admin left-hand side menu, and select the plugin.

Paste the code into the Scripts In Header Section and click save.

Head back over to Pinterest and click next. Pinterest will then check your website for the HTML tag which can take anywhere up to 24 hours.

Check back in every now and then to see if your website has been claimed, sometimes it only takes a short time.
