Hask has a vast collection of hair care products to its name. I mean A LOT. If you want to see it for yourself, take a look at their product list here – Hask.com. You name it… they’ve probably got it. Today we are reviewing the Hask Monoi Coconut oil Nourishing Shampoo. It’s said to hydrate and strengthen, while also gently cleanse, leaving even the most lifeless locks refreshed and revived. AND it’s ideal for all hair types.
As with all products, I reviewed the Hask Monoi Coconut Oil Nourishing Shampoo using the following categories:
It promises a lot of great features. Let’s see if it delivers…
My first thoughts when seeing the oddly colored bottle were, earthy. It has a very natural earth vibe around the design and presentation, and as with all Hask products, it has the signature font and logo.
The bottle is easy to handle and grip with one hand, it’s not too big or bulky, and it’s weight isn’t too heavy. I actually would have liked a slightly larger bottle with more product.
The nozzle is similar to a pop top, pressing down on one side releases the other side allowing the shampoo to be squeezed out.
I little background – I hadn’t washed my hair in 4 days.
First squeezing a dollop of shampoo into my palm I noticed the strong sweet coconut aroma, a fresh difference to the standard soapy shampoo smell. I LOVED it!
I used a serving the size of a quarter for my medium-long length hair. It felt pretty standard at first, no different to any other shampoo I have used.
The results were good. My hair felt soft, light and it wasn’t dried out at all. It actually felt healthier after just one proper wash with the Hask coconut oil shampoo. Coconut oil is known for its many benefits, so I shouldn’t have expected anything less.
One other plus was MY HAIR SMELT LIKE THE SHAMPOO. Oh, and the shampoo is also free of sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten, and artificial colors (fewer nasties).
I used the How to Wash Your Hair the Right Way method to wash with the Hask coconut oil shampoo.
Hask has confirmed their brand is cruelty-free, they are not owned by a company that isn’t cruelty-free, and their products are 100% Vegan. A beautiful product and brand with good morals. Hask actually goes into detail on how terrible they think animal testing is on their website. Go Hask for thinking about our precious animals!
The Hask Monoi Coconut Oil Nourishing Shampoo is a very affordable product. I definitely would have rathered a larger bottle of product, understandably the cost would have gone up as well. I would actually have thought it would be more expensive, but it’s good that it’s not!
You can get your hands on the shampoo and conditioner set here on Amazon, and take look at their 400+ reviews while you’re there.
I’m happy with my purchase of this product. It didn’t cost a lot, lived up to its promises, and I couldn’t find any flaws in the quality. PLUS it’s a cruelty-free brand.
